My name is French, PC2F (formerly known as PE1IWS) BIG#005.

In 1984 I was once the spiritual father of the BIG. In those years I was an avid amateur living in Breukelen.
Lol I had to DX and, contesten op VHF/UHF/SHF, JOTA’s, make DNAT in Bad Bentheim unsafe and I was years secretary of the center section of the Veron.
Mid eighties there was already talk of moving the PIGLETS.
After my move in 1988 to Loenen a / d Vecht hit the radio hobby in the doldrums (other interests) and came around on me total radio silence.
Well I had the radio stuff and kept.
Since 1995 I am living in Amersfoort (north) but was not radioactive.
To my pleasure turned the PIGLETS movement still be alive and even growing.
There is going to glow again since I've been back a number of years involved and attend the weekend something PIGLETS. After my participation as PE1IWS / J at the 50th JOTA I in November 2007 again set out the fat and wire size.(HF).
I've swapped my old call for a hip; PC2F what nicer bullied HF.
Incidentally, most other PIGLETS also carried all the PC2 prefix so I am in good company.
Currently, my interest is still looking forward to DX and (although a wire antenna is working really great), contests and I also collect awards again.
But not on VHF / UHF / SHF as before but on HF.
In addition, I still like to give special work stations, collect their QSLs and I'm out of the digital modes (RTTY, PSK etc.).
These modes are so nice and quiet, nobody is bothered(in your vicinity HI).
Soon I hope to achieve DXCC (able in October 2008, DXCC 87).
Short amateur radio remains attracting and tickles with me again.
All ISA or less than before when I was a child crow yet.
